Stream Owner

Stream Owner’s mission is to improve long-term organizational agility along one or more Agile Streams. They are entrusted by the organization to shorten lead-time and increase organizational responsiveness.

The Stream Owner:

• Develops Stream Experiments, and expresses them in hypothesis format.
• Ranks the Stream Backlog.
• Maintains a visible and transparent Stream Backlog for the entire organization.
• Decides which experiments to run.
• Interprets experiments results.
• Identifies Stream Influencers and invites them to join their Stream Team.
• Partners with other Stream Owners to execute experiments across Agile Streams.
• Delegates power to teams and de-centralizes impediment removal.
• Champions changes within the enterprise to eliminate sources of organizational drag.
• Responsible for the effectiveness and responsiveness of the Andon impediment removal system within the Agile Stream.
• Can abort an experiment in flight if the data or initial hypothesis are no longer valid.
